A Barge in Prada Green

< back to portfolio

Andrea really wanted to get married in her dad's backyard - in a wonderful house on a tiny tiny lot! Luckily, the lot was on Lake Washington and had a long dock, so to provide more room, we brought in two work barges via tugboat, cleaned them up and put a tent on one in case of weather. We then draped it in prada green and ivory silk, added chandeliers, and in general created something fabulous out of a dirty old work barge. To subtly nod to the pineapple motif on the couple's invitations, we had a fun pineapple ice scultpture and had real mini pineapples in some of the floral arrangements. The overall decor and atmosphere made for a fabulous night that went way into the morning with Dick's hamburgers as a late snack....and not one person fell into the lake!  It was a blast for us to both completely plan and design Andrea's wedding.

In Andrea's words:

"My wedding was one of a kind and fantastic and you had everything to do with that; the flowers, candles, fabric drapery, the flow of the evening, the crowd control, and the guiding me (physically helping me through the crowds and also mentally keeping me on track!) through the evening were all so worth the investment in your sevices. We could not have pulled it off without you. We didn't leave until 4 am!  We had THE BEST time."
